I think that the Border Patrol officers should take responsibility for shooting and killing the young boy because they are being careless about the lives of others due to the fact they are immigrants. Thats unjustifiable.

The teenager was wrong for throwing the rocks but that doesn't justify killing him. SK

According to the article, rocks were being thrown at the agents.Just as quick as everyone is to say the agent didnt have to shoot and kill him. Throwing rocks can be very dangerous as well. The right size, hitting the right spot could be life threatening. These few should have never been throwing rocks and maybe the agent didnt have to shoot him, but this kid should have known the possibilities of what could happen. This could have possibly been an abuse of power.

Any Killing of an innocent person especially a child is wrong. I'm not sure what the policy is for deadly force is but the question is was it well justified. What ever happen to that gas cops shoot out and its like mase. I think that would of been better than the gun. Their kids and they don't know any better. The parents need to educate their kids on things like that. Boarder control is important.

Im torn on this article because both parties could be considered wrong but a life has been taken. You have to be careful with cops nowadays because they are trained to kill not injure. Maybe the cop didn't mean to shoot the boy to death. Its just an unfortunate situation overall. SJC 1687
